Welcome to the graduation website of the Scenography programme 2021. Here you can explore the final works of scenographers who graduated in June 2021 from the Utrecht School of the Arts.

2021

Students of the Scenography Programme explore and research the experience of space through a theatrical context. Coming from all over the world and from different disciplines, they are representing a diverse community, connecting disciplines such as architecture, dance, fine arts, media arts and theatre. For the past two years they have researched the potential of transforming spaces, taking into account the design of visuals, sound, light, material textures and sensory impressions. A particular focus here is given to the audience, how they move – or are moved – in and through the works. 

The profiles showcased on this website, are a documentation of individual artistic researches and the corresponding graduation works, which have been presented live in the form of installations/performances. Most striking in those 2021 graduations works are the originality and the conscious use of the environment in which they were created, as the exhibition took place spread over the city centre of Utrecht.
